just came back from the hospital.she went in for 7:30am and was done by 9:30am dr said she did well.didn't loose much blood.she has a new plastic knee w/metal lining.dr wants her to walk tomorrow.she was very neasus from anesthesia.i know my spelling sucks right now was up at 5am this morning and gonna take a nap before returning back to hospital.only one thing bothered me.her face was very swollen and her vitals were low.bp 107 over 70 heart rate was 52 is that normal for someone that just made 65 yesterday?well the next 24 hrs will be rough.won't know how her body will react to knee.gotta worry about infections and blood clots.thanks for the prayers and keep em coming.

After having major surgery, those vital signs are very normal. They will improve as the effects of the anesthesia wears off.

I have had both of my knees replaced. It is well worth it. Doing the excersizes and going to therapy are very important. Make sure mom gets a pain pill before she goes to therapy. It really helps.

Hope mom continues to improve.

gonna be heading back to the hospital soon.don't know if this is normal but mom is allergetic to morphine.when she goes into the deep sleep her bp drops below 52 and she stops breathing.they gave her something for the swelling and hives.is this normal?they have her on oxygen.thanks for the prayers and please keep em coming.will keep u posted on mom.

My Grandmother can't take morphine. She goes off the deep end. The first thing we tell them when we take her to the hospital is NO MORPHINE.

dr. never checked on her in 3 days since surgery.mom completely stopped breathing.they brought her back.she barely hung in there.we reported the dr.demanded her taken of morphine.what we didn't know was she also was recieving it contuinously in iv.when dr finally came he screamed at us,threw his chart so hard that it knocked the phone off table.he said he came in every morning and took notes.i said well u must've taken notes on the wrong patient.no one came in to check on her either.we stayed 24hr day she wasn't left alone.finally when he reviewed chart and i quote the dr. :"oh my God we overdosed her!"her legs stiffened up and she is behind in her phy.therapy.we are considering suing.he neglected her and acted in an unprofessional manner.im afraid he'll get out of it.
who thinks we should sue?
should we stay quiet and do nothing?
need advice.
thanks
