Monday! Monday! Monday!

That sucks. Race by radio two weeks in a row. Mother Nature what can you do?

I hate that NASCAR wont race the Sprint Cup in the rain on road courses. They had the rain tires there. Why not use them like they did in the Nationwide race last year at Montreal?

too heavy, too high of CG, poor brakes, and soft tires.

When Cup ran in Japan years ago and at Montreal with nnw last year the cars had a wiper, defroster and rear light. No cars are equipped like that today. Maybe a few torn up cars from nnw last year in someones shop.

I thought the race was neat, but the racing sucked. It looked like most of the drivers where holding on for dear life.

By the way, here's the latest doppler imagery from NY.

Look up to the left of the screen, you'll see a large cluster of storms. That is moving very slowly.

The worst is what you can't see in this image that is moving over Canada. It could rain all morning and throughout most of the afternoon. Monday is starting to look like Tuesday.

Track is getting drenched right now.

They might get it in tomorrow..only a 30% chance from noon to 4. so 70% chance we'll make it to lap 90.

Bugger, I was going to get up at 2.00am to watch it but I think I'll catch the highlights.

It's not raining right now, but the problem will be scattered storms. It's very humid and the conditions are just perfect for storm development.

The good news, there is a window between Noon and 3pm. That should be just long enough to go green.

Don't expect to hear this very often, but you're right. That wasn't racing, it was surviving.

Which is how most drivers in Sprint Cup treat the two road courses on the schedule even if it's sunny.

If NASCAR provided rain tires, and the drivers knew there would be a chance they'd be racing in the rain, you can bet they'd better prepared. The teams would make sure they did testing in the rain. Few of the road course ringers were having a problem in Montreal last year.

NASCAR needs to do the following:

#1 - Have more road courses on the schedule.
#2 - Provide rain tires, wipers, etc in case it rains.
#3 - Stop being a whimp, and go road racing in the rain like everyone else does.
