It's been there all season Andy. ABC has had the rights since MNF's inception. ESPN and ABC are owned by the same company so it seemed like a good idea since MNF's ratings have gone down over the years and most sports fans already have cable anyway. NBC, CBS, and FOX all had a chance to bid on this and they chose this set up. NBC decided it would rather have the Sunday night game and Fox was pretty happy with what it has already.
