Brian Pattie out as crew chief for Montoya. Jim Pohlman takes over.

For those of you into such things ... Montoya's new crew chief, Jim Pohlman was the car chief for David Stremme in 2007.

better late than never. what has he got to lose? i didn't see him making the chase with pattie so if he does with pohlman it's a bonus. if not, nobody expected him to. may as well get started now in preparation for next year.

If he wins Indianapolis, he might make the Chase on a wild card.

Allmendinger, Montoya and Biffle. I'm thinking these new partnerships will take time to develop into a win. All of these chsnges could be good news for my drivers chances at a WC spot.
 
I dont see it helping....Montoya has had a little bad luck of late
 
I'd be shocked to see Montoya standing in victory lane @ Indy after getting a new crew chief.

i think that's a pretty big if for this year. indy is one of his best tracks but this year he's had trouble with car setups, crew chief and too much mixing it up on the track instead of driving smart. i hope pohlman can handle him. he's definitely got his job cut out for him. i'm not blaming brian for all the trouble the 42 has had this year. i never did think they were a good match.
