Montoya to McLaren

McLaren confirmed all of the speculation today that Juan Pablo Montoya will take his talents to McLaren in 2005. Ron Dennis stated that he is very excited to see Montoya in his machines as did Montoya. Ron also commented that the team is already looking forward to 2005, as in planning for it.

Personally I believe this is a smart move on Montoya's part. McLaren has always been a competitive team and never a slouch such as Williams previous of 2001. Almost no doubt his team mate will be young Ace Raikonnen or possibly Alonso.
 
I think that this a VERY smart move by JPM and he has made lots of smart decisions in his career, including moving out of CART.

I agree with that last part Kat!!!

I also agree that this will be a good move. The bad thing is how fouved will BMW be on JPM in 2004? SInce he is leaving the more than likely will put more into Ralfs car!

PB, I don't care and I bet Juan can make the best out of ANY situation.
No dummy is he, you have to agree. (says Kat is her her "Cat in the Hat" charming humor)
 
I think Williams will still put forth full effort to JPM's car. I don't think they put emphasis on the driver, but the development of the car instead. And that would be one killer team, that is assuming there is a 18 or 19 or by now they are probally starting on the 20, on the track, heh heh.
