How about this one?
Law enforcement officials in Henderson County, TX arrested a mother on Monday after she allegedly went to the police department and told police she killed her 4-year-old daughter.
Stacie Marie Parsons, 25, is charged with capital murder. She remains in jail on a $2 million bond.
Police went to Parsons’ Athens, TX home on Monday morning following her confession, where they found her daughter, Victoria, dead.
The girl had suffered trauma to her head and chest and had water in her lungs.
Investigators say Parsons took the child under a bridge on a narrow county road, beat her and may have tried to drown her in a shallow creek. She then reportedly put Victoria’s body in the trunk of the car, drove home, and started walking to the Athens Police Department.
Victoria’s father, Gary Wyatt, says he can’t imagine why Parsons would kill their daughter. He says he was trying to keep their family together, but he and Parsons had argued the night before.
“I wanted her to stop being so angry all the time,” said Wyatt. “I mean, she walked around in a constant rage for no reason whatsoever.”
