More Blaney to Ganassi talk

From Mike Mulhern, I can't really tell if this is based on addtional info or if it merely a restatement of speculation which started at Phoenix.

Gotta admit that some of Ganassi's driver choices to date have come as a surprise, especially the Jamie McMurray one. The choice of Spencer last season actually surprised me as well. Chip may just enjoy watching the rumor mill grind!:D

?Ganassi's new driver appears to be Dave Blaney, although Blaney might remain with car owner Mark Harrah if the two can find the right crew chief to take the spot that Ryan Pemberton will leave vacant in a few days when he moves back to the Jay Frye-Thomas Beard team. If Blaney joins Ganassi, he could be teaming again with his former crew chief, Doug Randolph, who worked for Blaney at Bill Davis'.

Ganassi is a god.

He likes to find talent in strange places, ends up looking like a hero.

Blaney is the real deal. If he can perform the way he is in the car he's driving, in a hot rod Ganassi car he would be dominate.

Wait!

Actually, I hope that Blaney gets stuck in a nothing team for the rest of career and does nothing whatsoever in the way of actually winning races.

I wish him nothing but the worst of luck and hope he never gets a break, he doesn't deserve it.

Don't know if ya got that in quick enough Paul!:D

The racing gods may have been paying attention

Funny, last week some of us had Blaney on the rotten driver list.Dave is comming along real nice in nascar 101.He will be a top ten regular in the next few years.:)

Definitely worth the look for Ganassi, but the 77 will get its 3rd driver in 3 years. That's rough on any team, and most likely since it will take time for the team to gel, who knows what the sponsor will think.

That would be big for Blaney.

That's rough for the #77, looks like they are losing the crew chief and driver. That team was just starting to show some real promise.

I hope blany gets a good ride.

and Paul i think he does deserve it. More so then some of the drivers out there today. IMO

If Blaney got this ride he would get a couple a wins next season.

I think Blaney would do a very good job with Ganassi, probably a top-15 in points. After all, he's currently 19th in points (with five top-10s) while driving for a low-budget, single car team. Imagine how well he'd do with a big-name three-car team with a big money sponsor.
