And since this involves a limited Busch schedule I guess this could go here as well....

"Montgomery Motorsports (ARCA team) announced a partnership with American rock legend Alice Cooper who has joined forces with the team for 2003. 19-year-old Chase Montgomery, in his second season on the tour, will drive the Alice Cooper/Montgomery Racing entry for the ’03 season. The Lebanon, Tennessee-based team is pursuing sponsorship partners for a limited 2003 Busch Series schedule and the full ARCA RE/MAX Series campaign."

I think they should have kept Mark Green in, I hope the rumor is false. Kasey Kahne was okay, if wrecking cars every other race is what you are really looking for in a driver.

I read this on Jayski! I guess RYR needed to use those BGN cars for something.

Bigley part time in 2003? hearing that former CTS driver Billy Bigley Jr. may be driving a #78 Ford out of Robert Yates Racing but Yates will not be listed as owner as Bigley will. The cars will made RYR as will the chassis and the motors.(12-16-2002

The site that I got the Kahne story from will not post rumors, Holtz, the webmaster, verifies every story before it goes up. That is a done deal. Incidentally I noticed Kahne got quite a bit of help in his mishaps throughout the year and also that he made a few mistakes of his own. His statements in that article I hope mean that he has learned a lot from those mistakes.

Tommy Pistone III will be running in some selected Busch and Craftsman Truck races in 2003 for his grandfather, "Tiger" Tom Pistone. If they can sign a sponsor they will compete primarily in the Busch Series. They are planning on driving Fords (Pistone PR)

well rpmallen i don't know what your talking about. Kasey only had 3 races he didn't finish because he wrecked. So before you go talking trash about a guy get your facts straight.
Kasey did an ok job driving in Bgn last season. Does he need more seat time yes. Is he the best thing since sliced bread well not yet. But for a guy who hadn't seen the inside of a stock car before last season he did just fine.

One last thing mark finished 32nd Kasey 33rd. mark had 4 races he didn't finish becuase of wrecks kasey had 3. Mark completed only 87% of his laps Kasey 93.4%. And mark only finished 9 points ahead of kasey and mark had one extra race. one bad thing for kasey is he missed one race this year at Bristol.

Give Kasey a break who knows he may just surprise you.

For those of you that lamented the idea that Johnny did not get a full time ride from RCR, it looks as tho he is working out deals to keep him in contention....

"Johnny Sauter is going to be running the Curb Agajanian #43 CURB Records Chevrolet for the Daytona BUSCH event. Sauter and Curb Agajanian have teamed up and plan to run Daytona and perhaps additional races this season, where Sauter is not obligated to run the #21 Payday Chevy for RCR. CURB Records has given Sauter a commitment to run Daytona only at this point. Sauter and the team are attempting to solidify additional partners for Daytona and the additional events in 2003. Pending sponsorship, Sauter hopes to compete in the #43 Curb Agajanian Chevrolet for all 15 events where he is not running for RCR."

That's great about Ashton Lewis. I work for the AF Liaison Office to the CAP and hope their sponsorship is doing good by him. He has a lot of talent.
