"ESPN.com's David Newton is reporting Rick Russell, owner of 2nd Chance Motorsports, has filed larceny charges against Jennifer Jo Cobb and crew chief Steve Kuykendall. Russell claims Cobb and Kuykendall stole $16,000 worth of race parts during their time with the team in February and March 2011.

"Both her and her crew chief said they didn't know how it got there," Russell said of the portion of the missing parts police found in a storage bin near the shop that had been used by Cobb. "I'm in the race parts selling business. There were containers of parts that came right off the shelves with the prices still marked on them."

Meanwhile, Cobb denied any wrongdoing, saying Russell gave Cobb and Kuykendall permission to move the parts to the storage unit.

"His name is on the storage unit. How can he accuse us of stealing something when it was just transferred from their shop to their storage unit?" Cobb said. "It was just a matter of freeing up space."

Cobb walked away from her Nationwide Series ride with 2nd Chance Motorsports Saturday just moments before the field took the green flag, protesting being told to start-and-park. She has said she has no plans to file suit against Russell."

I'm thinking this guy is a real a-hole.

This is worse than the whole Jeremy Mayfield saga.

The fact that Cobb hasn't sued Russell makes me suspicious of her story. If everything she says is true, he owes her loads of money.

What does he owe her for? She said she was to provide the engine and tires and he kept the prize money. The only money she was suppose to get was if they had a sponsor, which they didn't, they would split that.

Breach of contact (she paid for that ride), and equipment he never returned. Also, she paid for enough sets of tires to run the whole race at Bristol... after she did so, she was told she would start the race then park the car. I think he owes her for those as well.

She pretty much paid him to run the entire race only for him to not let her run the entire race.

Keeping her seat was pretty shameful considering that's a safety issue.

She said herself she hasn't taken any legal action because she just wants to move onto the next races and not let this linger. Sounds like he has different plans.

unlike a certain other person whom has gone 14 rounds with the courts and still thinks he has a chance....

Yeah but he has no chance of going back racing..She does.

So at what lap does it officially become a NON START N PARK.....She ran 38 laps yesterday and BAILED............The 2nd chance #79 car actually ran 140ish laps, till they puked a motor...The purse money was less than $2k differance between those two cars......

Call it whatever you want but that was nothing more than a start and park. At least she did not use the "no radio" reason as she did at her last ARCA start and park in '09. She had an OK thing going in the truck series and pretty much stayed under the radar and was favorably mentioned at times during the broadcast. After her publicity stunt at Bristol the media should not give her the time of day.

Lets face it it the only reason she got a second chance ride this week is due to her hotness factor, she looks good in a firesuit. As for her talent, I have yet to see any, whether it be ARCA, Trucks, or Nationwide.
http://www.racing-reference.info/driver/Jennifer_Jo_Cobb Not exactly stellar stats.

She lost all credibility this weekend... reminds me of Gabi DiCarlo in a lot of ways.

Gabi never had much credibility especially after her crew chief got her knocked up. She just had alot of her Grandmas money too spend.
