From Jayski:

Ward out? hearing that Ward Burton and the #0 NetZero team have parted ways? Supposedly Mike Bliss will drive the #0 Chevy at Darlington.(11-8-2004)

BUT

BANG Racing close to announcement? Ward and Dodge? hearing that BANG Racing is close to signing their Cup and Busch deal for next year with Ward as the driver for the NetZero Dodge in Cup and Travis Kvapil in the Busch car [Dodge?] with Line-X as the sponsor. The team expects to announce a new General Manager soon also. See past news/ rumors on this team at my BANG Team News and Links page [until they have a car#](11-8-2004)

It sounds like Ward parted ways in the first but then it also sounds like NetZero will follow Ward...Wonder what's up??

This also contradicts the last rumor for Travis going to Penski.
I don't Roger would allow Travis to drive Busch full time and drive for him, he didn't let Brenden even do the TMS truck race which he really wanted to.

And the saga continues...

UPDATE: been told that NetZero will STAY with the #0 Chevy anf NOT go to BANG.(11-9-2004)

From NASCAR.com

NASCAR veteran Mike Bliss has replaced Ward Burton in Haas CNC Racing's No. 0 NetZero Chevrolet for this weekend's Nextel Cup Series Mountain Dew Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Owner Gene Haas released Burton after last weekend's Checker Auto Parts 500, a Burton spokesman said, ending negotiations with Haas for Burton to continuing as the team's driver.

Burton had planned to drive in all three NASCAR national touring division races at Darlington this weekend. The only entry remaining for Burton is in the No. 47 Acxiom Chevrolet in the Craftsman 200 Truck Series race.

Justin Labonte has replaced Burton as the driver of the No. 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet in the Busch Series.

Bliss, who also drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, is sixth in Busch Series points this season after finishing 10th last year. Bliss has 33 career Cup starts and two top-10s, including a career-best fourth at Richmond in September 2004.

Currently 29th in points, Burton had three top-10 finishes in 34 races this year, including a season-best fourth-place finish at Martinsville three weeks ago. However, he's had eight finishes of 34th or worse.

I hope Ward can find a better ride for next year, or possibly the last two races of the season. He's a good driver when you give him good equipment. Best of luck, Ward.

I think ANY ride is better than that one. And Haas is PO'd cause Jason wanted to go to JGR instead of driving thet dunp truck. LOL

Ward will be able to find something else very soon.. Heck, dump Robby and put him in an RCR car for the rest of the season. :growl:

Ward going to Bang racing. Good greif. That is like Bam. And you see what kind of crap they give Kenny to drive. All I can say is Poor Ward, Poor Poor Ward.
