Last year the duo of Kenseth/Johnson combined for 13 wins over the season. At this point last season they each had two wins yet this year nothing.

Which surprises you more, the lack of wins by Kenseth/Johnson or Harvick/Logano already sitting at two apiece?

Definitely JJ and Kenseth being winless. 13 wins between the two of them last year, I would have thought both would have at least one by now.

Definitely Kenseth/Johnson. Johnson coulda, shoulda, woulda at Cali but Kenseth has just been a tick off like the rest of JGR. I think both will really come around after the All-Star race.

Gotta say Johnson/Kenseth.. Although JGR hasn't been up to par Hendrick has 2 other drivers out running the champ right now.

Although Joey having 2 wins this early is a big one too... together though Kenseth and Johnson get this one.

Not surprised at all by Harvick even with a new team. He's having a year like Kenseth had last year. I guess Johnson being winless so far is the bigger surprise.

Gonna hafta go with Kenseth/Johnson

Feel like the 0 ride height factor is still being figured out by these teams while Harvick, Logano, Keselowski & Gordon have it figured out week after week

Really surprised by Logano and that Penske team. Logano really should of been driver of the 1st quarter. Penske in just their second year with Ford has become the flagship group for the company.

Johnson and Kenseth being winless.

The only three seasons in which JJ was still winless at this point in the season ended with him not winning the championship.

Dale Jr had a win with 5 top 3 finishes in the first quarter.

Logano had a win with 1 top 3 finish in the first quarter.

More surprising to me is JJ. I'm not surprised the 48 hasn't won so far. I'm surprised they haven't looked very strong most of the time so far.

I think you could make a case for Junior, Logano, or Gordon being driver of the 1st qtr.

JJ and Matt. Kevin is no surprise to me, although Logano got 2 earlier than I thought he would.

It's been a strange start to the year for sure.
