Morgan Shepherd Withdraws From Pepsi 400

Morgan Shepherd has withdrawn from the entry list for the Pepsi 400 at the Michigan International Speedway event for August 18. The change in plans were finalized today. Shepherd Racing will be at Bristol Motor Speedway this week for testing of the #89 Cup car sponsored by Catchfence.com, Motorsportsweb.com and Racing With Jesus Ministries. While plans of attempting additional Winston Cup races for 2002 are still in the works, no exact dates were immediately available.

Further plans for the Craftsman Truck Series for this season are also in the planning stages.

Too bad...As nice a guy as Morgan is his years as a driver are coming to an end.

Speaking of Withdrawls...The field is now down to just 44...now just 1 car will go home. #57-Kirby, #37-Cope and #51-Long have decided not to go to michigan.

So as irregulars that leaves who??

Biffle, Raines, Compton and Shawna...anybody else?

Nope I think thats all. Biffle is in for sure...Looks like shawna will be in becuase shes got more pts then Compton and Raines. I guess it will be Compton or Raines going home...but if not its gonna be fun seeing another regular missing the field.
