The most famous person I've ever met was Tiger Woods, he was at a charity event in Las Vegas and I was writing for my student newspaper and I was assigned to write an article on his visit and the charity event and I got a chance to interview Tiger, his father and a couple of other people.

and then I thought, to be right there with the greatest golfer in the world. Wow.....

What about you guys?

I guess it would have to be Junior Johnson some years back when he was still in the racing business. His wife had just had their first child and the Mrs worked at that time at that hospital. We went out to the race shops one day and when Jr. came up to us, the Mrs. introduced us as though she had known him all her life. We chatted for a while and I found the man to be quite different than I had previously thought.

Now I've seen and been close to many many other people, but this was a close encounter of the third kind! :)

Ok, don't laugh, but I met Col. Sanders when I was a kid. I was at a local resturant and he came walking in. He had his white suit on and his cane with him. He sat down and talked with me and gave me his autograph picture. I know I don't get out much, but he was very nice! :)

I don't go much. I would say J.D. Sumner who sang bass for Elvis. And Richard Petty.

I met Van Halen back when sammy was the lead singer, still have the pic on the fridge...thats about it for famous people for me...

The 1978 World Champion New York Yankees. I rode a charter bus with them. I sat next to Reggie Jackson.

I have met JFK and Jackie, Jimmy Carter, Danny Sullivan, Jacky Stewart, Shirley Muldowney, Roger Clemmons, Butch Hobson, HANK AARON and other baseball players, Jeff Gordon, Ray Evernham and more.
Steve Tyler (Aerosmith), the whole Poison group, and other rock semi-stars.

Lyle Alzado(sp?), Steven Curtis Chapman, Bob Eubanks...

Hey Kat, I've got an old friend who is a pharmasist in Boston and she told me that all the pharmasists there know Steven Tyler personally! :) You have been fortunate to meet many people, let alone very famous people.

Naw, not really Gollum, but I was born and raised in the Boston, MA area and moved to RI in the mid 60's. My Mom was a BIG baseball fan and taught me how to score a game very early in life while my Dad was serving in WWII. I also remember Mom bringing me to Boston Harbor to welcome my Uncle home way back then and the ship was an aircraft carrier. I remember that the first person to appear was General Dwight D Eisenhower. There are many other true stories I could mention from my youth.
I met Steve Tyler and the whole Aerosmith crew in my very early 20's before they became famous.
There is a lot more to my life story and I was NEVER a "Run Around Sue", but just know that I am really a homebody now and have been for many years.
I've been a Georgia Peach for almost 10 years now and just LOVE the glorious South!

I met the rock group Slaughter, I was very surprized they were all very nice. I also met country singers Porter Wagoner and David Frizzell. O.K., I don't get out much!:)
