Marc Marqueze (206 starts) has just tied Valentino Rossi's (372 starts) 7 world championships.
Now the watch is on if can tie the leader Giacomo Agostini with 8 next year
if he rides and stays healthy.

This is one of the greatest comebacks in the history of professional sports but sadly no one outside of the MotoGP bubble seems to care.
Few people believed he'd be able to rebound from the 2020 injury and the terrible final season on the Honda. Marc proved all the doubters wrong, his 9th world title has without a doubt been the most impressive.

He was crashing so much I just gave up on him. Then
he caught my attention last year and this year he has just
dominated. Its been fun watching him race his brother handlebar to handlebar
this year.

Not MotoGP but we don't have a catch all motorcycle road racing thread. Being in my second year flagging at the local track that runs mini moto I'm beginning to learn of some connections to pro riders who got their start with us. They've showed up for some races or track days this year.

I've flagged for Chris Clark who races in R3 Blu Cru World Cup and is 2nd in points it looks like with 2 races left.

I've also flagged for Kayla Yaakov who is 6th in the MotoAmerica Supersport standings.

I know these aren't the top of the line championships but its pretty cool to still say you've flagged for people who are at that level. Plus they are amazing to watch so close up. I'm still incredibly green to motorcycle racing, and its never going to pass cars for me, but I appreciate it far more than I did.
