And? It accomplished the same thing.Newman's move was in the final turn of the final lap, Dillon had plenty of time to pass Cindric cleanly.
Agree 100% Here's the final restart to finish with AD and team radio.Gotta go with Dillon , call it Dirty but he made the round of 16 and its kinda reminiscent of Newmans door Slam on Larson at Phoenix to advance.
Shoutout to Cassill as well.Rick Ware Racing getting two top 10's & Gragson getting a top 5 for a small team.
16 cars ahead of him when that wreck started. It looked like Harv was going to get through but the opening disappeared.I'll go with Dillon, but not for wrecking the 2 car because he couldn't pass him cleanly. But for being one of the few drivers who was able to avoid wreck when the whole field crashed thanks to NASCAR for not throwing the yellow with rain on the track. Him avoiding that wreck, and with that wreck taking out almost all of the heavy hitters, that has to be the move.
On the replay you can see Harvick accelerate when he sees the gap. If he'd somehow made it through before the 42 came back up TV would show us replays of that situation for decades to come.16 cars ahead of him when that wreck started. Yeah good for Dillon but there was nothing really impressive about that move. I would also say that the fact that he managed to avoid the big wreck was more impressive. And? It accomplished the same thing.
Impressive or not he got the lead, he's in the final 16 and he added over a million dollars to next years payoutsOn the replay you can see Harvick accelerate when he sees the gap.
