Canadian driver, model set for Nationwide debut

Quebec native Maryeve Dufault plans on becoming the first Canadian woman to make a Nationwide Series race when she straps on her helmet at her hometown track in this weekend's NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
Dufault has been entered in the No. 81 Dodge owned by Pat MacDonald, with sponsorship from the Quebec Dodge Dealers. The car, normally driven by Blake Koch, is inside the top 30 in owner's points, guaranteeing Dufault a starting spot in Saturday's race.
Dufault has one top-10 finish in 12 ARCA Series events so far in 2011. The native of Sorel started motorcross racing as a teenager, then advanced to go-karts and open-wheel cars before making the transition to stock cars in 2010, running two races in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, including a 26th-place finish at Montreal.
Now living in California, the 29-year-old Dufault does modeling and stunt work when she's not behind the wheel of a race car. Her on-screen credits include a stint as co-host for a 2006 TV series called Racin' For A Livin', which lasted one episode. She was also credited with appearing on one episode of The Price Is Right in 2001.

The woman's got enough experience climbing out of wrecked racecars, she does that every week in ARCA.
 
reminds me of the motorcycle cop in the godaddy commercials. if she can turn left she can drive as well as some in the nns. starting on a road course shows she has real talent. she can go both ways, on the track. <g>

She has a hard enough time turning left in ARCA.

Kinda funny how most everyone used to rip Danica a new one for using her looks to promote herself yet nobody really seems to have a problem with Maryeve Dufault doing the same thing.

Danica has talent so her using her looks got more people interested and sponsors looking at her, I have no problem with that. This chick only has her looks going for her, from what I've read about her she isn't much of a driver.
 
Hey, I can honestly say that I don't mind have attractive women like Danica, Maryeve and JJ Cobb in the sport at all! I mean, heck I am a red blooded man..why would I?
