TRANSFORMERS 2---director Michael Bay said, "TRANSFORMERS 2 will be coming soon. The new robots are really, really unique and there are a lot of them." Premier is set for June 26, 2009.

JAMES BOND---Jeffrey Wright will return as CIA agent Felix Leiter for the sequel to CASINO ROYALE.

TOKYO ROSE---Frank Darabont (THE MIST, THE GREEN MILE) said his next movie is about "Tokyo Rose" who was wrongly convicted of aiding Japan against the US in World War II. After being sentenced to eight years in prison, she was pardoned by President Gerald Ford. Darabont is currently working on a remake of Ray Bradbury's FAHRENHEIT 451.

LAW & ORDER: LONDON---producer Dick Wolf is working on a third international version of his LAW & ORDER tv franchise for the British market with ITV. The show might be shown on the US USA network. Wolf already has LAW & ORDER franchises in France and Russia.
 
I AM LEGEND---author Richard Matheson, who wrote the original 1954 novel, has signed off on the movie rights to a sequel movie.

ABRAHAM LINCOLN---Harrison Ford reportedly may star as Vice President Andrew Johnson in Steven Spielberg's biography movie starring Liam Neeson as Lincoln.

FRANKENSTEIN---Guillermo del Toro said he's working on a "definitive take" of Mary Shelley's novel. He's also working on movie versions of HP Lovecraft's AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS, Edgar Rice Burrough's TARZAN, Roald Dahl's WITCHES, THE CHAMPIONS British miniseries and THE COFFIN graphic novel.

VANIKORO---Philip Seymour Hoffman (CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR) and Viggo Mortensen (THE LORD OF THE RINGS) are in talks to star in the movie about French explorer Jean-Francois de Galaup, comte de La Perouse's failed 1788 expedition in the South Pqacific. His two ships were shipwrecked on Vanikoro Island and many of the crew members were victims of the native cannibal headhunters. Two survivors lived on the island for 30 more years.

THE HOST---a prequel is underway of the hit South Korean monster movie.
 
DOCTOR WHO---it's confirmed that Capt. Jack Harkness and Sarah Jane Smith will make at least one appearance each and Martha Jones will appear in five episodes. A tabloid said one episode will be not have Doctor Who in it, but will have his three companions (Rose Tyler, Martha Jones and Donna Noble) trying to save him and the universe.

STAR TREK---Leonard Nimoy said there will be three Spocks in the 11th Trek movie (himself, Zachary Quinto of HEROES and a third unidentified actor).

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL---a VANITY FAIR article by Jim Windolf said the fourth movie might be the start of a new Indiana Jones trilogy with Shia LaBeouf being the main star and Harrison Ford in a lesser role. Producer Frank Marshall said, "I don't think so. We're all getting too old. We have to hand the torch to somebody else. I don't know who that's going to be." Steven Spielberg said, "Oh, I don't know. I haven't even thought about that...".

THE LOST BOYS 2: THE TRIBE---Corey Feldman said the sequel is ready for its direct-to-dvd release.

FRIDAY THE 13TH---a remake is underway by New Line Cinema which is also working on another sequel to NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.

LOST---Matthew Fox said about Season 4 that only eight episodes of the 16 planned have been filmed due to the writers strike. Most of Season 4 is about the "flash forward" at the end of Season 3 showing Jack and Kate off the island. Jack is about to jump off the bridge because he was able to get some of the people of the island, which has made them famous, but didn't get all the people off. "Jack and the other people, upon getting back to the world, are not being very honest with the world. They are covering up [something]. That's an agreement that they've all reached. They don't see each other much, but when they see each other, it's incredibly awkward. And this lie---you can cut it with a knife amongst them." Fox said about the casket at the end of Season 3, "I'm pretty sure I know who it is, but I'm not 100 per cent sure." He said decoy endings were filmed and that he's not in them.
 
TERMINATOR SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS---associate producer James Middleton revealed more details about the fourth Terminator movie: a new hero is introduced, reportedly Christian Bale, who will play a key role in the second trilogy series. The movie is set after TERMINATOR 3 in which a nuclear war has occurred. Middleton also said Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will not make any cameo appearances as long as he's governor.

GI JOE---Marlon Wayans will star as "Ripcord" and Joseph Gordon-Hewitt may join the cast.

AVENGERS---a rumor that an Marvel Comics AVENGERS movie may be underway. Reportedly, there is a scene in THE INCREDIBLE HULK involving Gen. Thunderbolt (William Hurt) and Ironman (Robert Downey Jr).

RANGER'S APPRENTICE---United Artists has bought the film rights to the children's book series.
 
JAMES BOND---it's official that the new Bond Girl for the 22nd 007 movie is Ukranian actress Olga Kurylenko.

THE A-TEAM---rapper Ice T said he's in talks to star as "BA Baracus" in the movie remake of the tv series. He said he would not try to duplicate Mr. T's version of BA, but would have his own interpretation of the character, but he added, "I'm going to do the mohawk" hairstyle.

JERICHO---Skeet Ulrich stars in ARMORED as an armored car driver who plots to steal $10 million from his company. Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne and Fred Ward also star.

DEXTER---the Showtime series will also air on CBS beginning February 17 with Season 1's 12 episodes edited for CBS.

BRITNEY SPEARS---Dr. Phil's tv special focusing on Spears was canceled after her parents pulled out of the show.

EAGLE EYE---Michael Chiklis (THE SHIELD, FANTASTIC FOUR) stars as the secretary of defense in this thriller about two innocent people (Shia LaBeouf, Michelle Monaghan) who are framed as terrorists in a political assassination plot. Billy Bob Thornton and Rosario Dawson also star.

JENNIFER'S BODY---Megan Fox (TRANSFORMERS) stars as a girl possessed by a demon and begins to eat boys in her small Minnesota town.

BLU-RAY---Paramount Pictures said it may join Warner Bros. in dropping the HD DVD format and going exclusively with Blu-Ray.

BURST---new sci fi movie underway from Sam Raimi (SPIDER-MAN).
 
I Am Legend - a must see thriller! :)

Saw it in theaters on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Great movie! Definently Oscar-worthy.
