There are a few things coming to an end after Homestead this year.
The final race for Kurt Busch with Miller Lite. How long do you think we'll get into the broadcast before Rusty chimes in on this? Kurt had eight wins over his time with Miller. Next year we'll see everyone favorite, Brad Keselowski, in that car. Any predictions on how he will do over the next five years? Do you think Miller Lite will remain as his sponsor that long?
Elliott Sadler’s last race with RPM. Five years in that car with only four top five finishes. Ouch! Good luck in the Nationwide Series. I just hope Brian lets him score some points over there. I guess we'll find out after those new anti Cup Driver rules are put in place. I mean there are BIG problems with that series. Ratings are down BIG TIME. Oh, wait a second ratings continue to rise in that series..... Never-mind. GO Sadler and KHI!
The last race for Richard Petty as a car owner? Who knows? Maybe the end of another era. Sure, just a figurehead but still. Ray Evernham to the rescue?
Jeff Gordon’s final race with DuPont as the major sponsor for almost all the races. I never thought I'd see the day. You know this sport is in trouble. Sure, we'll still see them around but come on.
Sam Hornish, Jr.’s final race in NASCAR. Anyone out there sorry about this one? I think I already know the answer. I bet some of you will be dancing in the streets.
Verizon’s final race with a NASCAR team. Sprint, you've accomplished your mission. Communication breakdown. Yet another sponsor driven out due to exclusivity by NASCAR's primary sponsor.
Dale Earnhardt Jr./Lance McGrew. Stick a fork in it!
Jimmie Johnson's stranglehold on the Chase? OK, this is just a wish on my part. Could it happen? Can this team actually be beat? As much as I'm tired of seeing this guy dominate the sport this time of year, I'm not sure I want to see Hamlin win either. Harvick, pull those belts tight and drive like you've never drove before. Win one for Childress & Dale!
