MSNBC BULLETIN: New mine collapse in Utah

OH NO!

Six ambulances are called to the collapsed Utah mine after at least two
people were injured, CNN reports. Local media report a further collapse but it
is not officially confirmed. CNN

Hold on there Kat!

CLOSE DOWN THE MINE FOREVER!

Lots and lots of jobs promise injury or death if mistakes are made! If we shut down anything that caused a human death we wouldn't have much standing in our country.
The guys that go into the mines know the risk and except the pay for such risks... I've been thinking they have taken too many precautions and went too slowly. Seems a few guys could have crawled that 1,000 or so feet if needed.
Let those that are in the business make the decesion as to what to do about the mine. We are just bystanders to the tragedy.
Betsy:rolleyes:

ABC just announced that they are suspending the search for the 6 missing miners indefinetly. :(

Well with all the crap that falls on people's heads in Lowes, Home Depot and Wal=Mart where they get injured then we should close them down to. Especially seeing as how Wally don't want to pay the Dr. bills.

On a side note, has anyone been watching Ice Road Truckers? Probably even more dangerous than most mining jobs. This Sunday is the last episode on the History Channel.

my mom's been watching it, i've watched it a few times.

It makes me wonder why they dont use high capacity terra tires. They make them for that use, i dont see why they aren't used.
