Speedtv.com is reporting Penske is close to securing a full season sponsor for Will Power to drive full time in 2010.

Panther Racings web page http://www.pantherracing.com/ is reporting Dan Wheldon is confirmed to return next season.

HVM racing web site http://www.hvm-racing.com/news.html is reporting they will continue running two cars in 2010. Robert Dornbos will return as a driver but EJ Viso's contract has expired and they are looking for other options.

Speedtv.com has also reported Vision Racing has fired many employes. 2010 is in doubt for Tony George and Ed Carpenter right now.

And IZOD has signed an $8 million dollar deal to be title sponsor of the Indycar series. They are also still planing on sponsoring Ryan Hunter Reay in 2010 as well.

This is an important step for IRL to stay afloat. $8 million is a low number for title sponsor, but that's $8 million they didn't have before.

Will Power, Dan Wheldon, and HVM stories are old actually. These have been known for awhile.

I heard of the IRL trying to secure IZOD or other company for a title sponsor awhile back as well.
