I've never been much of a cook but then again, I've never given it much of a big try either. I can cook the basics and follow recipes. I'd like to actually be able to call myself a decent cook.

Tonight, I threw together some chili with 2 kinds of beans, pinto and kidney, hamburger, chili seasoning, and diced seasoned tomatoes.

Man, it smells good. I will let you know how it turns out.

If you have any easy recipes that you'd like to share with me, I'll try them. :)

A different way to fix potatoes

slice 2 potatoes --- thin slices work best

layer them in the bottom of a buttered 9x13 dish

salt & pepper

cover potatoes with 2 cups shredded cheddar

cover with 1 can mushroom soup --- do NOT add water

Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes at 350*

I sometimes add diced green onions and bacon bits before adding cheese and soup.

And be sure to read all the recipes in the sticky --- Kat's Kitchen
