If only they could get some cars in town for a practice session!

Bristol Motor High up and running

October 17, 2002

About 1,000 students from Sullivan East High in Bristol are attending classes in the suites at Bristol Motor Speedway while toxic black mold is eradicated from their school building about six miles away.

The school was closed when the mold problem was found, and Bristol Motor Speedway general manager Jeff Byrd contacted officials and offered the track as a temporary home.

The school is using about 70 of the track's 110 suites for classrooms and offices and will be allowed to stay as long as necessary

Thats pretty cool for them to do that. I wonder if anybody will be testing on the track at the time while they are in class. Talk about not staying focused.

Mikey Waltrip might be there.[Im at the wrong track]:D

i saw this on tv and i thought this would be an awesome experience!

Shame this didn't happen in March. I'd want to go to class on the weekend.

Having a class in Bristol Motor Speedway. Heck, I'd go back to high school for that!

pbunch,

I could see Michael standing outside the window, pointing to his Napa logo on his firesuit. Hehe. Then, if they'd let him in, he would give them all Ritz Crackers with Coke.

And don't forget, now you drive home with the Aaron's TV of your dreams! Just do the math!

Would Klausner provide the furniture for the suites?

The unfortunate thing for these kids is they close the blinds on the windows during the day so they are not distracted with all the repairs being done to the grand stands at Bristol and they are getting ready for Bristol under lights, a massive Christmas light display.

High School at BMS should include drivers ed teaching the bump and run. lol

they probably dont even think its a big deal. they live right there

What you all don't even know is that Sullivan Co. schools don't even care about you all..... One of my best friends teaches for them and......

This is bull! I'm going to demand that all my classes be at PIR from now on. Maybe I could catch a few test sessions.

All I can say is that it's about time folks started paying attention to the mold that is in our public schools.
