I took him to the ER last night. The CT scan found some sort of abcess in his brain. He was transferred to Tyler and is awaiting the assessment and decision of the neurosurgeon today.

I may be in and out for the next few days. No mobile access to the web.

Thoughts, prayers and best wishes to you and your husband. Don't worry about us, we'll be fine. Know that we're here if you need us. I'll put a candle in the window for you and hubby.

Just got back home. He had a CAT scan last night here in Palestine. They stuffed him in an ambulance and carted him off to Tyler. Had an MRI late last night. Had a CAT scan with contrast this morning.

The docs still can't figure what it is or what caused it. My hubby is totally PO'd at being in the hospital --- he's one of those people to whom sitting still is totally foreign.

I called him when I got home, and they were just taking him down for an ultrasound.

They don't want to operate if at all possible because he takes Plavix -- surgery might cause bleeding in the brain.

sorry to hear this news trl. :( my thoughts and best wishes are with you.

Just read this a few minutes ago, my thoughts and good wishes go ou to you and your family, think positive and stay strong.:)

The docs let him come home late last night. They cannot do any more until the blood platelets recover from the Plavix, and there wasn't any reason for him to be sitting in the hospital until then.

The doctor said he though it was old, but started swelling for some reason. Put him on a steroid to reduce the swelling.

So, we wait.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers --- they are so important to us.
