I had an interview today, it seemed to go well. I won't find out anything for a week or possibly two. The job is a merchandising job and is only a few hours 6 to 8 hours a month but I still want it. The job could lead to more hours down the road and I can keep the job I have now, no problem.

I am still hunting incase this one falls through.

Wish me luck in my job hunt.

Good luck, Lisa! I hope you get it! :)

I was fortunate enough to find a new job a month after I lost my last one (through no fault of my own). Having to sit and wait for an answer after getting yourself all pumped up for the interview is the worst part IMO.

good luck....pulling for ya.

You are so right. It was a really good interview but now I have to wait. sigh

Looks like I might be getting my old job as a Home Health Aide back. They called me today, the client that broke her leg is moving back home and wants me to come take care of her again. She's been in a nursing home for several months and is ready to move home now. I'll let you all know when I start back at that.

Goodluck, I'm currently looking for my next job, this one ends November 15th

My goal is to make enough money so that I am not living paycheck to paycheck.

If this works out the way I want, I may have 3 or 4 jobs. *nodding*
Also my goal too, but my motto through my job hunting has been I have to start at the bottom to get where I want. Which is why I took my current job in the field I went to school for over staying in a dead end job I had that took nothing from me mentally.

I am not looking to be a wealthy person, just be able to pay my bills and have a little in the bank. That's all.

Dang, Lisa! You's a hustler. That's a lot of work!

More power to you. That type of schedule would break me.

My jobs are all short shifts. The job I have now is 6-8am Mon-Fri. The merchandise job I'm trying to get is only 6 to 8 hours a month and my Home Health Aide position will be 3 days a week, 3 or 4 hours a shift.

It isn't killing myself, Mr Gregory, it really isn't. My shifts won't be bad. I just hope they all come through for me. *fingers crossed and prayers*

Ok, My second job called today and I am back on board, my old client is back home. I picked up 14 hours next week that is 14 hours I have not had all summer from this particular job. I officially have 2 jobs that bring in an income. Now to wash up all my scrubs and get them ready to wear.
YAY!!!!!!!!

Awesome! Congrats, Lisa! :)

Thank you. I officially went back to work as a Home Health Aide today. I am tired and I only worked 3 hours. I came home and took a nap. I have to get up and work at 5 am in the morning at job #1. I am chilling right now and watching football.

Have a great night all.

Good deal Lisa, home health is a tough job but can be very rewarding. My GF has done alot of that work and enjoyed helping those who could not do for themselves. She is a phlebotomist (I call her Ms. Dracula) and she now does nursing homes. Leaves home at 2 am and fnshes up by 1 am. She is on call for stats so nap time is whenever. Makes great money bu lots of travel, leaves Halifax and does Lynchburg, Buena Vista, Harrisonburg, Roanoke and Danville.
Good thing she is a good driver.
Again happy for you, just don't get into burnout.

Good for her!!!! I only work part-time though so it's not so bad. I go into client's homes and help them out by helping them dress, cooking for them or cleaning, sometimes I help with taking showers or just anything anything that needs done around the house. It depends on each individual client.
