Ok, so I posted about the worst thing that happened to me, I thought I would share some of the good

I really enjoy the elderly. Some of the guys want to basically boot them out of the car so they can rush to the next (low) fare. I like to talk to them and help them to the door. The looks they give you and the kind words and the stories make it for me.

I also as some of you know have a 14 yr old daughter. So when Im driving the late (drunk) rush, I cant help but think of my girl. I have been known to pick up just one rider, especially a lady late at night. Alot of drivers want to fill their car and will not pick up single riders. But I see the looks on their faces basically begging for a ride and wearing next to nothing and guys trying to "rub on them". They just want out of there.

Also, I try and chat up business passengers..I have seen a 10$ tip before just bc guy was in a hurry. I make sure I know the local events, etc.

I have been hit on as well, but I just laugh it off...my gf means the world to me.

I have had to call the cops as people will lie in the street to try and get me to stop you name it

In my PM I told you of my friend who was a cabbie and his stories. His said a 1 or 2 buck tip from a elderly person who was obviously not wealthy meant a lot to him, The 5 bucks from someone who treated him like chit and thought him to be beneath them, not so much.
He did say many women offered to "trade" rather than pay the fare. That it was not a unusual occurrence and I'd be surprised who offered trades.

he is soo right. VERY attractive women offer themselves. I had one woman say. Are you single? I need a man tonight here is my room no"

According to him it's all kinds, including those that cause you throw up a little in your mouf just thinking about it..,,KWIM?

I drove cab during summer for a few years from the Airport (Vancouver, BC) many moons ago and for the most part really enjoyed it.

My most notable fares included Scotty Bowman (Detroit Red Wings) who was being paid to be the celebrity on a Vancouver/Alaska cruise.
He and his wife were very nice people...He gave me a $5 tip which I should have asked him to sign but sometimes its better to just treat celebrities as ordinary people. I think they appreciate it.
Johnny Depp....He was cool we had a good conversation. 24 Jump Street was filmed in Vancouver and he was charged with assault at a hotel near English Bay (Denman Inn). I asked him what really happened and he told me that he spat at the dude.....that got him the assault charge.
Billy Connelly....don't know if you guys know him up there......comedian. Cool dude.
One night I was asked to take my cab to an address in Vancouver's Chinatown as a film crew wanted to use it for a movie. They were to have some dude use my car for a shot of a car pulling away from the curb. I said hey, I can do that....I'll look a natural as a cab driver...I am one. Joel Shumacher the director said sure.
Next thing I know Lloyd Bridges and Sean Young were in the backseat with me at the wheel. It was the movie Cousin's
and my bit is in the movie but you can't see me Lol.

Driving cab was a really enjoyable experience for me for the most part.
