Last Fri I was the 15th caller for a contest on the radio. It's been going on for a month. You get a t-shirt and a CD and then on the 16th (today) all the winners were supposed to be at a mall downtown. The contest was called "bobbing for balls". They were giving away a pool table, beer meister, tickets to the pro bowl in Ha., digital cameras, camcorders, DVD players, all kinds of cool stuff.
My luck has never been too good. It's mediocre at best. I told some friends last night that I would probably win a gift certificate for a free ice cream. After getting up WAY too early for me, spending two hrs there, and bending over in front of a couple hundred people to literally bob for a little ball that had a pc of paper inside stating what the prize was, I walked away with a kit to make homemade salsa and a gift certificate to a grocery store that I don't shop at. Everyone that was there walked away with a prize, and while I did walk away with something, it certainly wasn't one of the other really kewl prizes. A friend that shops at that grocery store traded me cash for the certificate, and the salsa kit will make a good gift for someone....
