My sister has heart trouble

My sister is having 3 stents implanted this morning at 8:30am eastern time. :(

She had a heart cath done yesterday and they said she had 70% blockage in 2 of her arteries and another was almost as bad. They recomended a triple bypass, but she was scared to death of that, so they agreed to do the stents instead. She had a friend who had open-heart surgery and was partially paralized from something that happened when they cracked her chest. My sister is terrified of them doing that to her. She is pretty scared of this procedure too, but she kows it needs done. She could use your prayers if anyone is so inclined. They would be appreciated.

Her name is Marilyn, she is 52 years old.

4x my prayers are with her. I have to go into the hospital in the morning for a heart cath at 9:00. But hope everything turns out ok for Marilyn. :cheers:
 
Man, I hope that she is allright, surgery is always scary...:(

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes guys and gals.

Marilyn went into surgery at 8:30am and was out at approximately 11:30am. They said it would take about two hours, but it was closer to 3. I'm not sure why it took so long, but they said everything went fine. They said she will likely get to go home friday or saturday if everything continues to go well. I will keep you all posted.

Gollum, I will certainly keep you in my thoughts and prayers. A heart cath is a pretty scary thing dude. I just hope they have a lot better news for you than they did my sister. :lilangel:
