I didn't, seems I exceed the weight limit. Dammmit.
He loved it. They jump from 14,000 feet and open a small droque chute so it takes a while to drop down to the altitude where they open the main chute and drift down.
He has one more jump coming so he's planning on getting his sister to jump with him next week and for a 'modest' fee they'll take photos of the two of them for Moms birthday!

FWIW $189 weekdays, $209 weekends. Don't weigh more than 250,,,:(

Congratulations. You missed an experience. He's young and he already has a big one crossed off his Bucket List!

14,000 ft? Wow! That's pretty high for a rookie jump. Mine were from only about 7500. Did he tell you how he liked the noise?

14,000 ft?

That's what I thought, don't you need O2 above 10,000.
He said when the chute opened it was like cracking a whip, then real quiet with just a little whistle/hum from the lines.
He's trying to talk his sister into going Friday.

The FAA would like for every pilot to have oxygen at heights above 10K during the day and 5K at night (night vision is affected) but it's not mandatory. My instructor always told me not to go above 12.5K for over 15 minutes and to not go above 15K, period. Above 15K a pilot will quickly develop tunnel vision. Or so they say. I usually kept it between 8K and 10K because that's where you can get good fuel mileage with minimum danger of carb icing.
