My Take On Kyle

My take on Kyle

First let me say again that Kyle is not my golden boy I do not even like him.

However I think that he is one of the best drivers to ever sit his ass in a race car. I like to see beating and banging and putting a race car where it won't go but when you turn someone into a fence or a wall intentionally that is another story. He was wrong. I also know the sometimes things happen and cars do go into fences and walls it's called racing.

So for me I would like to put some of the blame where it SHOULD GO. When you draw a line in the sand it is forever shifting and moving. If you don't believe that go to the beach dig a line 1 foot deep 1 foot wide and 12 feet long and watch it. First it will shift then began to fill and soon it will disappear the next morning you want know where it was.

Nascar a couple of years ago pretty much has this chit under control and then BOYS HAVE AT IT. You see when the punishment never fits the crime criminals keep pushing but the line is now gone. Nascar should have seen this coming AND I THINK THEY DID but it's good pr for them. If they wanted to stop this kind of trouble they could have. Nothing was done to drivers before Texas that should have been dealt with. And at Texas Nascar had there backs pushed against a wall they had no choice but it never had to be that way. It the same for cheaters and MOST OF NASCAR. Gray area.

IMO if Kyle's career is ruined because of this it will be a disaster for all driver. fans and racing.

So put some of the fault where it goes and it goes to Nascar for not punishing the other criminals before Kyle.
Put some of the blame on JGR for not going the same. It's time for the OWNERS to clean up there own house.

But lots of people think he sould be banned for LIFE IMO you are fools

I agree. NASCAR already has a commercial for Homestead that highlights the Busch verses Hornaday affair.

NASCAR has already made their judgement and assessed punishment. Anything that takes place from here on is between Joe Gibbs and M&M/Mars.

I can see them putting another driver in the car until the end of the season; coming back in February, 2012, with Kyle, same sponsor, new paint scheme.

I have complete confidence in Joe Gibbs as a mentor for Kyle. Gibbs knows how to handle difficult people and has been very successful doing so over the years and in different sports. He'll do right by Kyle, M&M/MARS and JGR.

The sad thing about all of this BS is that it is overshadowing a chase race that is as good as it has been in years.

As I said it should have NEVER got to this point

The rumor is Kyle is out or M&M will be leaving at the end of the year.

I'm getting confused..... Is this now the new official Kyle Busch thread? Here I was positing to last nights Kyle Busch thread. What the heck was I thinking? :D

I don't know where Kyle is going to go if he gets pushed out of JGR, no other racing team beside a S&P team would even touch him. I doubt sponsors would even want their product on the side of his car.

It's no secret that I can't stand kyle but I'm not stupid and I can see the guy can drive. However as of news today it seems like his temper may have just cost him his career.

If he is canned then he'll land somewhere, however he's burned bridges at Roush, Hendrick, and is doing so at Gibbs.

With that being said, I can not see Stewart bringing him on. Maybe RCR goes after him? or Maybe he teams up with his brother at Penske.

If(I still think it's a big IF) but if he's gone from JGR, he's in big trouble. His talent isn't in question but what sponsor is gonna go with him knowing their driver could be parked at any given week?

Well, all the people who want Kyle out of trucks, Nationwide and Cup may have *****ed enough to get your wish.

If I remember correctly Richard went after him not long ago :D

Lol Nice one, FL.

Lets cut the 'poor Kyle has so many haters' crap. He did it to himself. His career isn't over. I suspect he's refusing to get in front of the cameras and apologize, because he feels he was justified. He'll learn his lesson one way or the other and then get back to racing.

If he is out of JGR then he is pretty much out of the sport except for maybe MWR. NONE of the big guys will take him. Not even Penske.

I am not saying poor Kyle. Everyone is responsible for their own condition. What has happened to him is all his doing. I'm stating that without sponsors, he won't be racing Cup, Nationwide or Trucks. Lots of people have wanted Kyle to stop racing in Nationwide and Cup. They have their wish come true. Some were calling for him to be banned from NASCAR forever. That may have happened as well with all the *****ing to the sponsors.

Great for the sport :)

especially penske. i'm amazed he puts up with kurt. i believe he'll stay at jgr though. he may sit until next year but i think he'll do his penance and start fresh next year.

Great for the sport :)

Kyle sure gave them something to cry about, didn't he? If the sport were full of Hornaday haters and they got Mars to give Kyle a bigger contract, I think you would be cheering them on.

Kyle did something so wrong, it rightly elicits reactions such as disgust, contempt and even hatred. Lets not try and make this about those reactions when we all know it's about Kyles actions.

OK, I put this on the other KB thread, but it looks like it's Z-Line Designs that wants him out of the car for the NNS finale. (USA Today)

I got a feeling that Z-Line Designs is the first of many sponsors who'll drop Kyle Busch.

I too think it is more than Z-Line. If these rumors weren't true or even a little true don't you think JGR would have made an announcement to squash the rumors. The fact they haven't said anything right now means there is something up.

He would have limited choices. I would think his only other viable choices would be Penske or MWR. I could see MWR taking him, but they'd have to get rid of Martin Truex to do it. I can't see KuBusch lip-synching those NAPA ads.

There will be sponsors. No driver/car gets more TV time than Kyle.

Yes, because companies have no problem with being associated with an arrogant ass who makes a fool out of himself at least once a month. :sarcasm:

UPDATE2: Aric Almirola told ESPN.com on Thursday he has been contacted by Joe Gibbs Racing about possibly replacing Kyle Busch in the final two Sprint Cup races and is awaiting final word from the organization. ESPN's Marty Smith reported on SportsCenter and NASCARNow that Busch, according to sources, will be in the #18 Cup car this weekend at Phoenix and next weekend at Homestead. Multiple sources said the car likely will be sponsored by Interstate Batteries instead of M&Ms, which was scheduled to be on the car. Mars Incorporated, which manufacturers M&Ms, stated its displeasure with Busch over his intentionally wrecking Ron Hornaday in last Friday's Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. But according to sources the sponsor still had reservations about having its name on the Cup car with Busch for the last two races, prompting the call to Almirola. Almirola said JGR president J.D. Gibbs contacted him on Wednesday to see if he would be available. Almirola, who drives a Chevrolet for JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series, said JRM has given him permission to drive for the Toyota team. "Your guess is as good as mine,'' Almirola told ESPN.com before Nationwide practice at PIR as to what will happen. "I know they're working through a lot of things. I just told them I was available if they needed me.''(ESPN)

Amirola's mouth is watering, he needs to be back in cup. Kyle may have gotten added to Aric's Christmas Card list if this happens.

Kyle may have ****ed up big time with his current sponsors but I don't think he will have a problem getting another ride. He won't have a long list to choose from but he will land somewhere, he's too good. Maybe he can switch sponsors with Denny, Denny is more of a candy ass than Kyle so the M&M's thing would work out and FedEx likes winners. Anyway, it's really too bad if he gets the boot because Toyota and Mars loved the guy until this stunt and he was doing so well as far as being a dick is concerned (compared to previous years anyway).

I haven't seen the video of what happened yet (since Wheldon died and haven't watched any racing), was it really that bad?

By the way Mike Honcho, your avatar almost made me spit coffee all over my computer at work. Funny stuff.

You mean like
Budweiser
Rheem
Goodwrench

Kyle is never going to be Earnhardt Sr. no matter how bad he wishes he was. He's more of a Sr. wannabe than anyting else, hence the intentional dumping of drivers, wrecking drivers and the attitude. The difference between the two drivers though is, Earnhardt Sr. had a larger fan base and he actually won championships instead of choking during crunch time.
