My thoughts on 9/11

My thoughts on September 11th? I hear people like the Dixie Chicks, Edward Norton, Julia Roberts and Johnny Depp continually bash our country, the thing those radicals need to learn is that people have died in wars so everyone today could express their opinion. That being the case, those radicals in my opinion should do a complete 180 and be patriotic for a change.

It surprises me that before September 11th is that 90% of everyone in the United States just didnt care or didnt realize about their roots and their patriotism and the blood which flows through their veins that has been molded with the American way of life. It took an event like September 11th to rekindle the patriotic ideals in all Americans, and we saw the patriotic values expose themselves as all of us either raised American flags, helped out a fellow neighbor and everything we had taken for granted is now cherished. I hope the patriotic showing we saw after September 11th is returned however under peaceful circumstances.

As a brother of a soldier who could either go to fight anywhere in the world. I feel it's time everyone forget what they are for a day or two; conservative, liberal, christian, muslim etc. and just unite again as Americans, standing with their President, their elected politicians and the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who are fighting to defend who we are and what we stand for.

With the wars we are embedded in with Afghanistan and Iraq, not only are we bringing justice to the terrorists, we are setting an example for the world by liberating oppressed peoples and lands. We are not only learning from our past with the frequent images of ground zero, but we are striving to better ourselves every step of the way.

What awaits us in the future? No one really knows, but I do know for one thing, we're Americans and not only are we mourning our dead on September 11th but we're celebrating who we are and what our values come from. I sure hope no one ever forgets that day, whatever way anyone perceives it as, it's forever engraved in history.

May God continue to bless America. :salute: :salute: :salute:
