I just bought this car off of craigs list. It's hard to believe I just paid $3000 for an 11 year old car, but it is the cleanest car of it's age I've ever seen. It also has 78,000 miles on it. I think this is a good use of the tax return I just got. Two car payments is killing us, so getting rid of her van for this thing is great.

Good Luck with it. :beerbang:

Nothing wrong with a 11 yo car. My wife has a '98 Bonneville that she'll never give up. We've looked at new cars and she always comes back to the Bonny.

Congrats! I got rid of a Dodge Hemi pickup last year. Bought a Santa Fe, lost the car payment and get way better gas mileage. It is def what I would recommend to ease monthly bills. Nice car too :)

Did you ever hear what Dave Ramsey says about buying a new car? The average car payment is over $400 a month. If one would just put that away for a single year, look at how much one could pay for a nice car. Then put that $400 away for another year and trade in the older car you bought for around $4,000 and see what you could buy then. In four years, you could almost buy a new car with no payments and get a newer car each year. Of course putting away that extra $400 each month is why we buy an older car for cash in the first place. Looks like you found a great buy.
