I have to admit, I'm liking the things I'm hearing. They're listening to the fans. I 'm sure the drivers are going to whine and cry all year but the fact is the fans pay their bills.

Dang, I thought this wan an announcement of some new video game. :(

I don't know, are they really listening any more than they have been?

It seems like they are. Not just NASCAR but Bruton as well. I like this plan he put out where, if a race is rained out, you can exchange those tickets for a future race.

That's the fair and smart way to do it. I bet a lot of people stay away from certain races because they may be back at work when the race runs, and they are out a ton of money. It's more likely they will return if they have free tickets waiting.

Is Bruton doing that anywhere other than Texas? Me, when I have tickets I always schedule vacation for the following Monday and Tuesday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ticket insurance. It's been around for years except it seems that not many people know about it.

I wish I had got that for my Richmond Spring tickets. I was assured I'd be off that weekend, then everyone else took off and I was forced to cover 28 events that weekend.

I've placed info about the NASCAR's ticket insurance, including links, on this board numerous times before and since your non-trip to Richmond. I only purchase it myself when I only have a small window to attend a race. I've never had to use it but I know others that have and it's a great deal.

Everyone seems to be all enamored over Bruton's revelation when it's actually nothing new at all. He'll simply bump the ticket prices to buy the insurance himself so you and I will be paying the cost of the insurance anyhow. Bruton is not giving away anything. He's using this more for a ticket promotion. It's a gimmick. Ticket sales are way down at all of his venues. He probably feels that this is a way to increase sales and I'm sure many will jump on this offer at the expense of everyone through increased ticket prices, higher concessions, parking increases, camping rate increases, etc... .

The other day I looked at Bristol's website to see what tickets remain for this spring race. Let's just say that it looks like I'll probably be sitting next to Manti Te'o's girlfriend when I get there.
