Guys

I am from the UK and a big motor sport fan, this year we are giving the le mans 24hr a miss and next month i am lucky enough to be able to visit the USA with the sole purpose of seeing NASCAR racing at daytona. Excited......Oh yes!!!

We will be at the circuit on the Saturday and Sunday and doing the NASCAR Driving experience on the Friday at the walt disney world track.

My question is, what other things to do with NASCAR, cars and the fans go on near by that we shouldn't miss?

Thanks in advance!!

Daytona USA at DIS is worth checking out. There's some pretty cool things to do and you can take a track tour while there. Also there's some good short tracks within an hour or so from Daytona, dirt and asphalt. I'd say I hope you have a good time but it's NASCAR and Daytona, a bad time can't be had.

Welcome to the forums.

I can't help with that track as I've never been there but if you get the chance post your review when you get back.

Welcome to the forum Mower Racer . Just being in Daytona during the week will be exciting in itself . Three things that I would advise that are cheap and entertaining are 1. The Daytona Flea market about 5km west is unbelievable on the weekend .Plan at least 1/2 day . 2. The race teams are race fans too and can be found at the local short tracks that put on events evenings during the week. 3. Take a drive on the beach on a sunny afternoon, just an unforgettable experience. There you go , my tuppence worth.:D

Welcome Mower racer. If you really race mowers, you need to start a conversation with MoeJoe. He's a fun guy who has won imaginary mower races on private lawns all across the state of Michigan.

Yes no problem, will let you how is goes! Yes i raced mowers for ten years! Including street racing in Belgium and Ice racing in Finland!! I am mower mad!!! MoeJoe sounds like a cool guy!!!

I worked for a US lawn mower manufacturer in the '80s. We had a couple of striped down, tricked out units on display in the lobby. The old TNN cable network used to cover mower races; good stuff.

Have a great time!
