nascar and sports car racing

ok heres my thing in sportscar racing if a car crashes all the things on that car come off and they just put new on so in no time the car is ready to race. How come the nascar guys dont just do that instead of DNFs for lil crashes and having beat up race cars back on the track i dont understand. what do you think?

i'm not sure if the extra money spent on sports cars has anything to do with anything, but maybe some of that money does go on structural integrity...?

one thing for certain, though...stock cars usually only have a few feet to slow down before hitting the wall, while sports cars often have a bunch of gravel and tires to slow them down before hitting.

other than that, i'm not sure why it would be easier to fix sports cars than stock cars.
 
As hard as one of these cars hit the wall, it is impossible to change all the parts that need replacing during a race. It may put 15 laps to drive a wercked car but it may take 150-200 laps to change everything. Thats not mentioning motor damage when they hit the wall head on. By the way, A crash may look little, but there is more damage that one would think.
