We're hearing a lot from politicians comlaining about how much the militray gives NASCAR, so maybe everyone could post links to what NASCAR gives to the military.

CFF foundation

He's not as obnoxious and goofy as he used to be, so more and more fans are accepting him.

I tried to think what the guys who get sponsorship money from the military are doing for them outside their contractual committments. Does Jr or Newman do anything like this? Do they even offer to help the CFF entertain more military people by giving up a Monday here and there? Maybe the military should consider sponsoring Parker Klingerman or another driver who actuall gets involved. That may blunt congressional criticism while supporting those drivers who support them well beyond a sponsorship contract.

As far as Military sponsorship, it's tough to be objective. Maybe it really is a total waste of money. But it's hard to call out military spending for NASCAR sponsorship when we are giving billions upon billions away to oil companies in the form of unnecessary tax breaks.

The Military spending their recruiting dollars on racing sponsorships is a better investment than the millions they would spend on, say, a Marine's commercial where the Marine fights a fire breathing dragon, or maybe dressed in chain mail fighting life-sized chess pieces, or maybe the Air Force's Transformer based fare, and many of the other expensive add campaigns they've done.
