There is still a couple of days for anyone who has some spare change lying around and would like to bid for these items. This excerpt pretty much tells the whys and where fores.

All proceeds from this landmark event will be donated to Speedway Children's Charities -- a nationally-recognized non-profit entity founded by Speedway Motorsports chairman Bruton Smith to improve the quality of life for children in need.

Of course, the centerpiece for this unique auction is a weekend racing experience at Lowe's Motor Speedway on October 12-13.

Here is a quick recap of what the winning bidder can look forward to:

Two VIP tickets to the UAW-GM Quality 500 on Sunday, Oct. 13

Trackside access to Sunday's pre-race driver introductions

A guided pre-race pit tour on Sunday

Two VIP tickets to the Little Trees 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday, October 12

A two-night (Friday and Saturday) stay at the Hilton at University Place in Charlotte

An adventure like this is a bargain at any price. As of July 9, 35 bids had already been placed on this thrill-of-a-lifetime experience. The Top bid so far is $3,800.

Also being offered separately are five of the most-coveted die-cast collectibles imaginable: 1:24 scale Action replicas of the No. 3 GM Goodwrench Monte Carlo -- autographed by Dale Earnhardt himself! Each of these Action Performance die-casts is backed by a certificate of authenticity from DEI.

At this point, bidding on all five cars is amazingly close, with current leading offers ranging from $990-$1,175. Over 30 bids have been received on each car listed. Folks, this might be the only time you see die-casts like this offered to the general public
