NASCAR Busch Series at Nashville

ESPN has been very lackluster today. Marty Reid's commentary is solid but the coverage is weak. I'm not happy about them sticking to tennis either, although the one in yellow was not bad looking. :D

When we drove into Nashville last night, it was snowing. It was too warm to stick, but it was really cold. Didn't get to see the beginning of the race. Did they even mention the snow?

Good to be back home, but went through bunches of snow in the mountains of eastern TN and western NC.

There was no pre-race show Buckster, and I haven't heard anybody mention snow...just COLD!

Like I said, the ground wasn't cold enough for the snow to stick, but what a difference a day or two made. The week before, we sat and enjoyed a great day of racing there in Nashville. The big track is east of town while the half miler, a great track I might add, is right in town.

Two toyota's in the top 5. Guess there doing better in the busch.

Looks like Carl is on his way to a back-to-back win. :beerbang:

Carl Edwards wins another Busch race

Now let's see him do that in Nextel Cup.

Heh..looks like Steven Wallace wanted to do donuts..somebody tell him he didn't win. lol

What a boring finish. Woulda been a heckuva race if not for the Nextel Cup regulars.

NASCAR has really got to do something about this. When's the last time a Busch racer won, Charlotte?

When I was racing MX, in the beginning stages of Supercross, I was glad to race with the likes of Bob Hannah, Jimmy Weinert, etc. It taught me better lines and better strategies. It taught me how to become faster and better than I was.
This is exactly what the Busch series needs. If not, it would be nothing more than a boring second-class college ball game. It's what allows the mediocre to elevate to the pros.

It was snowing here in East Tn this morning. :)

I remember when there were very few Cup regulars in Busch and the racing was just fine. Change the schedule around for Busch and make it inconvenient for these guys to run a lot of races, that will cut down on the Buschwackers.

And then how will the Busch regulars get better? On their own? Not.

I disagree. These guys learn to drive on whatever level they are in. Yes, they can learn from more experienced guys, but there are plenty of very experienced guys already in that series. You don't see all that many Cuppers in the truck series and that series is full of newbies, but it's also full of former Cuppers who have found a home. The same thing could happen in the Busch series, but NASCAR just won't do it.

I've always maintained they needed to pair the Trucks up with Cup and let Busch be cross country somewhere. The Trucks have a mighty fine show that few people see and they could use the exposure. If the Cuppers wanted to race the trucks well they could expand the field easily.
