Hey all, I just saw the new nascar videogame with harvick on the cover...the game is just like the others but under the new C4C format...with harvick on the cover...pretty strange...i wonder if it will be like the madden curse orsomething, seeing as how harvick ain't in it.
 
I've got it as Well. I like that you can race in 3 different Series but I don't think its as good as last years.
 
Harvick is on the cover because it is put out by EA Sports. I read somewhere that EA Sports is one of the sponcers for the 29 car.
 
ah, thanks gollum,didn't know, of course, stewart was on the cover the year before, jr the year before that and jeff gordon the first year of NT...which i can't get my hands on...does anyone know if you still hvae to "lock in" to the draft on this one? I hate that...not realistic at all.
 
you didnt have to lock into the draft in last years

if you got behind a car you were automatically drafting. but if you locked it in then you were gaining ally points with that driver, so that he may draft with you, block for you, or let you pass when you have a faster car.
 
oh, I thought that until you locked in you didn't get as much of a draft benefit, oh well, I'm still going through my career on 2003, I was ROTY, pretty good, I think.
 
I'm working through the career mode right now. I'm leading the Featherlite points standings after 10 races and just accepted a Truck Series ride. I've played the '02 and '03 versions and although they have yet to handle wrecks properly (does anyone-aside form the player- ever DNF because of a wreck??)I'm really liking this years iteration.

Anyone know why some tracks are missing? I don't recall seeing Pocono on the list, unless I just didn't notice it.

Also, I'm wondering why they weren't able to secure licensing from the different truck manufaturers. It seems a generic truck is used for Dodge, Ford, Chevy and Toyota (you'd think with Dodge being so prevelant in the game that you's be able to use an actual model of the Dodge truck.)
 
I have to admit that I'm jealous of all those who have the game...I'm still on 2003 right, i have 2004, but I got it for the ps2 and i had the 2003 version for the game cube...when I made the platform switch, i lost my ability to drive (with the new wheel i bought being so different) so i had to get 2003 for the ps2 and am now "relearning" to play with the wheel...Ideally, I'd like to work through a career (all twenty years of it) before I went on to the 2004 and then do the same with it before moving to the 2005...at the same time, I'm workingon my master's thesis right now and I don't really have enough time to dedicate to the game...so I guess I'll have to wait until december to get the new game...oh well...let me know if pocono is on there though, i'm good at that track
