I'm about tired of the site! Why do they feel the need to change the site "to keep up" and are destroying it at the same time?
I still enjoy Trackpass, but hate having to pay for it.

Your thoughts?

I am on dial-up and don't have time for the site to load, seems to take forever.

Relaunch NASCAR.com

... and give me RSS/XML for Trackpass events. They should relaunch Trackpass like they did CNN Pipeline. I have them both and really enjoy CNN Pipeline. I enjoy NEXTEL Trackpass when I need to use it but they should keep up and offer all videos free and their basic Trackpass free.

I'm not that big a fan of Trackpass, but I get it through my internet provider for free and PitCommand through NASCAR.com is only $2.99/month.

I liked it before the fancy slideshow and mainpage video

What's up man? Ain't talked in a while. I absolutely detest the front page video thing. I wish NASCAR.com would offer a setting for me to turn it off. They need to overhaul the entire site, it's still hard to navigate. I just wish they'd offer RSS.

Until then, MSNBC Sports NASCAR section works for me.

Hey Andy

There is a small STOP VIDEO button on the video itself. It looks like two small vertical lines on the bottom left of the video.
When I go there I always put my cursor on the video first thing.. then when the video starts I click on the STOP VIDEO button, to stop the damn sound, and then proceed to where ever I want to go in the site.
Betsy

I posted a topic of this same nature a few months back...Seemed like it did not bother too many people back then...I knew it would get on peoples nerves after a while.:D

Errr thats called a PAUSE BUTTON.;) Besides you still have to wait untill it loads before you can pause it.

I never go there. I like racingone.com It has all the stats I need for fantasy racing.

Dial-up here as well. It's like having a tooth pulled.

I suppose I could try unchecking the "play video" box in IE settings.

Ed: Tried that - still slow as heck.

That probably works...Tools, internet options, Advanced, scroll down to multimedia. Just tried it...Still have video

I only use that site for TrackPass and only get that because my ISP gives it to me free. I will sometimes got there to check the schedules and if I want to check something out on the truck series. As far as the rest of it is concerned, I have no use for it.

Ditto nascar.com website blows! :bleh:

I should not have to do that in the first place. No worse than MySpace I guess. I just think they need to make it easier to navigate. Maybe running the links on the sidfe of the screen so they can display more links instead of the 6 they show now. The flyouts get on my nerves on NASCAR.com because the script is still kinda buggy.

You have to turn off Adobe Flash Player for that to work. NASCAR's videos on the frontpage use Adobe Flash Player (makes it more of a pain in the buttox).

The best thing to do is shoot Time Warner a letter with your NASCAR.com concerns.
