I know they did this @ Pocono for the Truck Series but I didn't watch it. I can't see how this can make it exciting having two or more cars at opposite ends of the track. It'll only be over with quicker.

From CBS Sports.....

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has implemented a multi-truck qualifying system in recent weeks which is reportedly being considered for both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series next year. The format calls for two vehicles on track simultaneously in an effort to speed up the qualifying session with the order of time trials based on the last practice session starting with the slowest time and progressing to the truck with the fastest lap.

I know I am going to get flamed for saying this but I don't care...Do it like F1 qualifying. It'll be entertaining in it's own right and would probably sell more tickets because it is kind of like a race. It's over quicker and there will be more whining from the NASCAR drama queens which is what fans what anyways.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have been doing 2 or 3 cars at a time this year and it really speeds up qualifying. It also adds a bit of excitement to the procedure. I really like it. I'd like to see NASCAR impliment this.
