Hey guys, this is my first post here, and I am asking a question that has probobly cropped up a few times over the years but, here we go anyway, Why no GMC in the Truck series, I mean I know Chevrolet is the big motorsports side of GM, But GMC is GM's Flagship Truck line and you would think that GMs Flagship Truck Brand would be on the Frontline of any Truck Based Motorsport, but its not, heck it aint even included, I mean it seems logical to me that they WOULD be included but, for 10 years now, they havnt been.

You'll have to ask GM on that one. It's thier choice to run the Silverado.

Do they have anything that meets the specs on wheel base or other stuff? GMCs are usually bigger trucks than Chevies aren't they? I don't know, I wouldn't be caught dead in either one.

I believe the GMCs have exactly the same specs as the Chevys. The differences are that the Chevys have more of the creature comforts (a little nicer interior and stuff like that) and the GMC's I think have stiffer springs, more durable undercarriage. The GMC is more of a worklike truck. At least that is what I have always heard. I don't think GMC is the flagship. I would bet the Chevy outsells the GMC. Probably similar to Chevy and Pontiac in the cars.

The GM products need to be redesigned, the Ford and Dodges look better. IMO

I've been in a gmc and a chevy and the only thing different about the 2 is the front grille and these were 2002 models and my dad almost bought a 2001 gmc, loaded I mean this truck had everything except a sunroof. Thank god he came to his senses and bought a Ford, but to maybe answer your question IMO when you talk about a gm truck 9 out of 10 times people will think of chevy, all you see is chevy comercials, you don't see very many GMC commercials.

Last I knew, both the GMC and Chevrolet trucks came off the same assembly line. Only difference was in trim items.

Well, this is what I have found picture wise:

Chevrolet Silverado:

They look like the same truck to me.
