Love this race so much. The very heart of manufacturer country. Toyota will never have a seat at that table, and I get that....just love and respect being a side show to the Ford v. Chevy rivalry.....and maybe stealing the thunder every now and then.

Notes – Cup teams now on Charlotte left-side tire at Michigan: Being on 18-inch bead diameter tires, NASCAR Cup teams will run a different tire set-up than those in the Craftsman Truck Series at Michigan this week . . . this is the same right-side tire code that Cup teams ran at Michigan in 2024, as well as at Daytona and Talladega earlier this season . . . this left-side tire debuted at Charlotte two weeks ago . . . compared to what Cup teams ran at Michigan last season, this left-side features a compound change for more tire wear and lap-time fall-off . . . with this 18-inch tire, and its lower profile sidewall, NASCAR Cup cars do not run inner liners in any of their tires.

It'll be interesting to see how it runs here. With Michigan it's shape and length create an interesting way of making these cars drive, the speeds into Turn 1 & 3 is just obscene. The way it loads and that exit off of 2 & 4 is so tricky here, I'd argue Turn 2 is one of the toughest in NASCAR

Agreed. Much like Fontana, your exit off 2 will influence your entry to 3 which will impact your run to the Start/Finish. Great, great, great track.....fabulous area......love that place.
