NASCAR driver /owner to enter NHRA?

Word has it to watch for a prominent NASCAR racer and championship team owner discussing his possible foray into NHRA POWERade Top Fuel drag racing as a team owner/partner this weekend on the ESPN2 telecast. This is reportedly the program associated with Bob Vandergriff, Jr.

I predict it's KHI.

RCR is helping vandergrif built the car of tomorrow for drag racing. The Camping world sponsorship from the busch car will be moved (copied) to the second vendergriff dragster for next year (for the remainder of this year they will split the car with UPS unless a driver is found).

The DOT, or dragster of tomorrow, will feature the same foam as the cup car, all the way around the driver's compartment. Also, there will be no heat treated tubing, and the car will be slightly wider to accomodate the foam, and the roll cages will likely be taller to ease the exiting of the car for taller drivers.

Vandergriff's car is reported to be displaying he number 29 on his windscreen this weekend. While many cars carry a 3 and a few carry a 29, his usually do not.
