Are you folks watching any up and comers you are hoping makes it to the Cup Series?

My username is for Tim McCreadie, who has signed a Development deal with RCR and is currently driving selected races in the BUSCH Grand National West series for Golden Gate Racing.
I watched him in his very first race, and almost every Friday and Saturday night for quite a few years, when he was in the D.I.R.T. Modifieds.
In 2005 he won the WoO Latemodel ROTY, and last year, the Championship.
He has only raced in 2 nascar races so far. At Phoenix, he was running 7th but got spun about the mid-way mark and got back up to 11th. Last week he ran in an East-West race at Iowa Speedway and finished 10th after qualifying 31st.
Not earth shattering by any means, but not bad for his first ever crack on asphalt, in any type of car.
He has been testing in the Trucks and BUSCH and it is expected he will make a couple truck starts. Then based on that he may get a race or 2 in the #2 BUSCH car.
We'll see what happens, but he has only ever won in everything he has drove and I hope he succeeds. He is humble though and knows this will be his toughest challenge yet.

Who are you watching, I enjoy hearing about young guys and gals coming through the ranks.:beerbang:

I have heard Kerry Earnhardt has a son that is going to be a pretty tough driver.

That Joey Lagano kid that is in the Gibbs development program looks to be the real deal at only 16 too. He's won both his starts in the Busch West series, pretty impressive.

RCR tested the new R07 Cup engine on Tuesday at Kentucky for 500 miles. Wimmer done the first 100 to shake the car down, then they put T-Mac in the car and got him 400 miles of Cup seat time.

Here is an interesting picture of a little bit younger Lagano that I mentioned in a post above is in the Gibbs Pipeline. That's a pile of trophy's for a young kid.

Joey has won 3 of 4 races. He is racing again this Saturday evening at South Boston. In his last race he beat kevin Harvick. The kid looks to be the real deal for sure.

Ya, I follow the West Series and I was referring to the West Series, and last weeks East-West race at Iowa. I didn't realize he also had 2 starts in the East, 1 of which he won!
He is the real deal and at only 16 he has lots of time until he is even allowed to sit in a top 3 series nascar ride. I am looking forward to seeing how far he can go.

I see Lagano was 3rd at South Boston last night, and his fellow 16yr old JGR development driver was 4th.
Looks like JGR definitely has a couple winners coming up.

They do have a couple of winners coming up. So my question is: Why would they want JR now? They have 3 good drivers now.

And if Jeff Hammond is to be believed that is where Lil'E is going so that gives JGR 4 drivers.
