I don't really expect this thread to be met with anything other than criticism but it's worth a shot. I could certainly be wrong but I highly doubt that someone from NASCAR is actually sitting out there reading this forum to get the consensus of the average fan. However, they do tend to listen to the people that take part in their NASCAR Fan Council. Everyone out there has ideas on how to make things better in NASCAR. Try letting your voice be heard. It's worth a shot.

If you don't want to try that then try calling 1-800-PIT-LANE. That's the number to Sirius NASCAR Radio's live call-in shows that are on from 7:00am - 10:00pm Mon-Fri. I'm not sure of the weekend's schedule. NASCAR is listening.

...this forum has never had a consensus?

I have been a member of the NASCAR Fan Council for 4 years. I get a survey every week!

Pretty scary to consider, ain't it? :D

It's not a forum, so no avitar. Some marketing company, hired by NASCAR, e-mails a survey with a number of questions regarding the previous weekend's races. Some of the questions are good and some are just stupid. But there is a spot where a member can provide personal feedback.

It's pretty cool, actually.

I've been on the Fan Council for the past few years. They might have openings for new members later this year. The key is to be as objective as possible. If you just do a bunch of crazy ranting they won't keep you around. They'll bring in members who are able to actually bring something other than whining.

Wait a minute..they found three people on this forum who don't rant or whine?

Haha

The trick is to not rant and whine when taking surveys and writing comments to NASCAR. I actually try to write in a manner reflective of my age and education when commenting to NASCAR. I even proofread my comments before sending them. Crazy, huh?

In all seriousness, I had given up on posting on public boards because of all the driver bashing and general negativity. So far this place seems fairly cool. Sure there are a few whiners and hot heads who seem to take pleasure only in the misfortune of others but there are some funny people here who actually seem to get it and keep things fun.

Me too , I drifted back here maybe six months ago when I was trying out a new internet server . I had quit reading the forum because of the constant driver bashing . I am here as a fan of Nascar . It seems better now.

I posted on the SpeedTV forum awhile back. What a cess pool.

I tend not to bash on drivers or NASCAR because at the end of the day they are all part of my favorite sport. There are certainly drivers and teams that I pull for and certain one's that I don't really like but I don't let myself become obsessed with taking pleasure out of their misfortunes.

I actually found this board because it supports Tapatalk since I post from my phone 90% of the time. (For those that don't know, Tapatalk is an Android App that is designed for message boards)

What a truly unique idea. That's refreshing to hear. That may tend to leave you out of a lot of threads though as most turn into either a Kyle, Kurt & now Danica bashing free-for-all. Some, you might say, even seem to have an obsession for it. For example, I could start a thread on Ryan & Krissie Newman's charity, 'The Ryan Newman Foundation', and the next thing you know someone's ripping Kyle a new one. How it gets to that point I'll never know but you may notice that trend from time to time.

This, I'm glad to hear. I created a thread a little while back asking that they add support for that service to this forum. They did that on their most recent update a month or so ago. Tapatalk is saving a tremendous amount of battery life on my phone as opposed to running the mobile web browser for forums. I'm glad to hear that someone found their way hear because of that addition. Welcome aboard!

Cool. You will be a good addition. Now help me in my campaign to get the announcers to quit talking so much during the races. :D

Yes Please!! I have mentioned in many NFC surveys that there is no need for 3 people to talk continuously for 4 hours. After a while (especially true with Ol' DW) they tend to repeat themselves!
Where do I sign up? :D

I also have mentioned many times that I think the Studio Host thing is completely unnecessary and that there are FAR too many commercial breaks during a race telecast.

I am happy to see that there are several NFC members on this site! That is awesome! So far, I have counted 4 NFC members: TRL, Matt, DPK (welcome, BTW) and little old ME!

Did I miss anyone?

Yes me Topgear!

I hate when 1 says something then the other 2 have to say the same thing as the first said but I'm their own words.

I know that this is not the first time this issue has been raised on this site. You should be happy that there are people out there/here who have the same opinion!

Don't be a Hater! Be a Player!

Yes me Topgear!

COOL! That makes FIVE NFC Members on this site!!!
