As I sit here in an airport waiting for my flight from one race to the next. I have some idle time, so I think I will ask this question. What do you think you are entitled to, as a nascar fan, or what do you expect from nascar and it's teams?

Entitled? I don't think I'm "entitled" to anything from them.
If you were to ask, "What do I expect from them?", then I would say that I expect that they show up at the racetrack and do their respective jobs to the best of their abilities.

Thank's Bobby, I added the word expect in to the thread.:)

Decent races, something NASCAR's getting rid of to please the new age fans.
Agreed. Am I entitled to see the usual start and park gang do their thing? I have seen this trend for so long now, I think I'm entitled to it. I certainly expect it. I expect to see a product reflective of the price I paid, I am entitled to nothing.Except maybe a cold one at my campsite trackside.

good hard racing, some lively contact without wrecking and no crying afterwards. Don't hide after the race either. Man up, say what you have to say and do what you have to do.

It's getting to the point where I expect them to pay for the fans to watch.

Seriously though, I expect every fan trying to get a guys autograph should get it without the guy being a dick. We are the reason you make millions to drive a car, jerk.

I expect traffic at a track to flow smoothly as possible and not have to miss 75% of a race (I wasn't there but damnit I expect it if I were).

I expect to be entertained by racing not subjected to follow the leader, two car drafts, and a race where the cars are so stretched out I can't tell who's leading without the leader board.

I expect to be shown the debris if there is a yellow thrown.

I expect networks to show the last 20 laps commercial free, regardless of where the race is and how long it takes a car to make a lap. Let's face it, that's usually the best part of the race.

I expect a public apology from nascar whenever they televise a race that is obviously boring as hell. I know it's not their fault when there is a dominant team but make me feel better about wasting a few hours hoping for a yellow with two laps to go.

I'm sure I'll have more later.

I want drivers to actually race for the win not just a good enough finish so the sponsor is happy.

I want the Champion at the end of the year to be the guy who scored the most points ALL season not just the last 10 races.

I want the talking heads to actually know what they are talking about.

I don't wanna be treated like a moron when I watch a race on ESPN. I do NOT need someone telling me how drivers get out of the cars or what a tight car means. I swear I'm waiting for the day when they do a segment telling us what the flags mean.
