Ryan wiil be in the BKR #29 truck entry, fresh off his first national series win last week. He's also driving the #22 Penske NW entry, so he's the driver I'll be watching this weekend. Everyone seems to like this kid, including his competitors. What do you think about his chances to nab a Penske NW ride for a championship run next year? CooperStandard, the BKR truck sponsor, has hinted they may move up to NW at some point.

Penske needs to sign this kid, and do it fast. Every owner took notice last week, and his personality will surely be in demand with sponsors.

His dad in my humble opinion has K&N or truck type talent only but the kid seems to have natural talent and a lot of promise, I wish him well.

His Dad isn't start quality, but he may once again play a roll in the chase by working with Kez at Talladega. Last year in the chase, those 2 made some great moves on the last lap to move up a bunch and finish 3rd and 4th.

I think Penske would be wise to put him in a NWS car next year. As for his future in cup he seems destined for greatness, but you never know it is still way to early to say.

Is his dad the same Dave Blaney that just qualified the 22 car in 10th ; first time in a quality ride?

I get the feeling it's already a done deal, but they don't want to disrespect Kligerman.

Yes, that's his Dad. He has some connections to Penske, and Dave usually works with Brad for tandem racing at Talladega.

Dave Blaney is about the unluckiest person to ever race in NASCAR. He got the ultimate screw job from "Lady Luck" at Atlanta in 2001.

Ryan Blaney is the real deal.

Time will tell but I think you are right. So far it all looks positive including his attitude.

He had quality rides for 7 years and ran consistently in the 30s and was third only to Mikey Waltrip and Robby Gordon in caused wrecks.

Nah , can't be the same guy . This one out qualified most of the chase racers . Including some of the Hendrick cars .And did it in a car he just hopped into with little notice . No way it's the same guy .

It's way too early to tell. He's only 18 and there is no need to rush him too fast and too soon. Logano is a great example of what not to do.

IMO, Logano's biggest problem was being so immature. Blaney is the polar opposite. There are some drivers that seem destined for successful Cup careers. Blaney is one of them, along with Stenhouse, James Beuscher and Ty Dillon.
