Brian Williams had the clip of Danica Patrick's wreck on NBC Nightly News tonight and will have her on Nightly News tomorrow night.

Because she wrecked? lol

Nah. Because she is Danica, silly! The fact that she survived an epic collision with the inside wall is just icing on the cake! Remember, Brian Williams was the first host of the NBC NA$$CAR in-studio pre-race, while-the-race-goes-on, unnecessary-appliance coverage.

And to my chagrin, every network thought that that was a good idea and installed their own unnecessary appliances.

Pardon me while I fart...

"Just in case you miss hearing her name."
(I have a feeling I'll be using this image a lot this season)

I just may use that image too, NN! But there should also be a Number 10 version as well, don'tcha think? :D

(where is the "Thumbs Up" smiley when you need it?)

Robbybee and Neverneutral, do you think that you are the only ones who detest Danica? Sheesh, why not start an "anti-Danica" thread so we can skip it when we know how you feel. I guess you never felt the same after last years race when an unknown 20 year old won the biggest race in his, or most other's, race. When the driver is different, the coverage will be bigger.

Every thread seems destined to turn into Danica bashing . It is kind of pointless because she isn't going to go away and the press are not going to leave her alone.

Brian Williams is a life long NASCAR fan.

yall amaze defunk outa me,she hit fast n took hands off wheel befor impact, lol guess shrub woulda drove outa it.....................................

Andy, I know that Brian Williams is a life-ling NA$$CAR fan. I have nothing against him. I just hate the whole "studio host" thing. It is totally unnecessary and a waste of time, IMO.

And Buckaroo, I am NOT a Danica Hater! Not in the least!!! I really hope that she does well. I have my doubts about her ability to compete for 500 laps at Bristol or 600 miles at Charlote. But I would love to be proven wrong. She is scheduled to run both of those races this year in CUP. It will be interesting to watch!

TAKE A PILL! :D

BTW, Buckaroo, the fact that Trevor Bayne won last year's Daytona 500 just shows me that Plate Racing outomes are meaningless and have absolutely no bearing on reality...

It wasn't meaningless for the Wood Brother, however! I was really happy to see them in Victory Lane.

But if Trevor can win the Great American Race...

Suck it up man. When she starts winning it's gonna get a lot rougher for her on this forum.Right now, shes not even a contender and she turns up in every thread.

I hope Danica does win! It would be awesome if she did! In N'wide OR CUP.

Do I EXPECT her to win? That's quite a different question...

But there are lots of good drivers who don't win races or championships. I think that she is a good driver and she deserves the opportunities that she has. Let's see what she can do with those opportunities.

lol you said starts winning, as in more then 1 win? Keep dreaming. She isn't going to win all year, she will be mediocre, just like she was in indy cars.

Danica was running a good race staying out of trouble getting some experiance in when......she was toke out by a squirrel
Man that was a HIT!

Pretty impressive IMO. Not the hit, the run. I don't buy into the fact that just anyone can wheel one of these things in a pack like that.

As far as that hit goes. That has to be one of the hardest hits that I've seen. Before you all start pulling out YouTube videos to have a pissing contest, don't bother. She nailed that wall without scrubbing off much speed at all. At least that's the way it looked. I suppose we'll never really know unless SHR decides to release the info. Everything that I've ever read/heard is that the information is only released to the team involved. I'd be interested to know where that ranked on their scale since running with their 'black box'.

Hard hit for sure. At least it wasn't a straight in 90 degree hit as the results might be different. A very long time ago I was told to drive like I had socks on my hands and never put my thumbs inside the rim of the wheel, saves broken thumbs and the ability to pick up things.:)
Also, when you've done all you can let go of the wheel and brace yourself. just as Danica did.

Bet she's sore this morning.

She did a very good job! Worked it till she saw impact was immenent..released...then went back to it after a Very Hard Hit. Nice Job Danica.

After seeing the replay I'll take back my squirrel comment...just hard tight racing, was Amirilo after a transfer spot?

I thought she did great. I've always defended her ability and credentials to race in NASCAR, even while joking about pancakes and the over the top media drooling.

Yeah , I think pretty much everybody on the forum defends her ability and credentials.:D

Exactly. I like her and I think she's a good driver. The way she handled that wreck showed remarkable skill and quick, heads up thinking. The media is over the top with Danicamania but it is what it is. It was the same way when Shawna Robinson ran the 2002 Daytona 500.

Oh god, I remember that race. I think she got Jr, and Harvick, in the same wreck....

Harvick was taken out off of Gordon's front bumper.

Shawna was underrated as a driver. Came on to the Cup scene too late in her career with too little support.

She certainly wasn't afforded the opportunities to grow, as Danica has been. Even still, Shawna still didn't have the talent Danica has.

Now we need Ted to stop by for a feel good moment and realise that nobody here is a woman hater.

Regarding Danica that was a *pretty **hard ***lick.

PSA.
please be advised that Greg® loves
all females, they all are wonderful. Big tall
Short or that fluffy.

*pretty This word is one of Danica's requested preapproved self descriptive words.

** hard *** lick , used to describe the collision Danica had with the wall, any similarities to other thoughts is purely coincidental.
