Nascar Gives Jimmy Johnson Lap

I was watching the 2016 Bristol race on Fox. Yellow flag waves Matt Kenseth is in pits but beats leaders to the line and Jimmy Johnson loses a lap. When all leaders pit under yellow, Matt does not pit with leaders and gets the lead. Nascar gives Johnson the wave around, and he was behind the lead car. They give Johnson lap back..Jeff Gordon made a comment on TV, how did Johnson get the wave around. Not a another words was said about that in the booth or after the race.
