I really don't know most of those groups y'all are talking about., except for George Jones of course. I am from the days of Ernest Tubb, Webb Pierce, Hank and Lefty, Faron, etc.........nowadays they all sound alike and it is not a sound that I care for.

Man, I thought that I was the only one. lol

Never could get into the hard rock. I grew up in the 50's and 60's and loved the rock of that era. Started drifting to country in the late 60's but I did have some exceptions that I liked such as Santana, Chicago and Malo.

I don't have much of a collection from the 70's. Country started drifting towards pop and rock was just a bunch of noise. I did like the beat of some of the disco stuff even thought I wasn't a dancer.

In the 80's, I drifted towards jazz and smooth jazz and have been there ever since. I sometimes listen to classical and latin music. The alternative stuff is enough to make me gag as well as many of the rock singers of today. And country doesn't even resemble what it used to be. How sad.

Anyway, I doubt that I could tell you much about any of those rock groups that have been mentioned here.

Sunoco still not happy: Sunoco is still upset about Shell's move into this sport (in which Sunoco is paying NASCAR for "official fuel" sponsorship rights) and is considering legal action against Shell to force it to take down all those Kevin Harvick banners at its 15,000 service stations.(Winston Salem Journal), Pennzoil/Shell sponsor's Harvick's #29 Richard Childress Chevy.(source: Winston Salem Journal)(3-18-2007)

I do believe that some people at Sunoco have substance abuse problems. How can they force Shell to take down banners at service stations? They have a contract with Nascar not Shell. Nascar approved the # 29 paint schemes and logos ( which we've all heard so much about latley ). Then again legal action against Nascar might not be in the best interest of Sunoco.
Just my opinion

Great statement. I was wondering the same thing.

No but they may be needing a new hip soon.
Me I liked Led Zeppelin back in the day. Also Kiss. My 1st concert was Alice Cooper. Which was 1 reason I loved the Peachtree Festival @ Rockingham Speedway. It featured 3 Dog Night, James Gang, Bloodrock, Black Oak Arkansas, Fleetwood Mac, Tower of Power, Savoy Brown and Alice Cooper.

All great groups. Long time since I even thought about Bloodrock. One of my favs of their's was Jessica.
